I decided to give it a shot the other day, since I was off work. I tried it out on my spoiler, and it turned out baaaaaddd. Yall's looks very uniform and smooth, whereas mine is extremely grainy and you can see the inconsistencies all over it. What did I do wrong? I cleaned it, wiped it down all over with alcohol, and used several light coats. Any thoughts?

It was all bumpy after you let each coat dry for 30ish minutes?

It seemed to get worse with each coat. Although I didn't let some of the coats dry for that long. You think that could be why?

Anythings possible. I was worried when I did mine so I was kinda **** about it. I did 3 or 4 nice even coats. Let each coat dry @ least 30 minutes like the can says. At first each coat was rough looking but each one smoothed out over the 30 minutes.

Hmmm, ok. I guess I'll try letting it dry longer next time. So is it better to go with light coats or heavy coats?

its better to go heavier. not to heavy but decent. if you go to light its a ***** to remove. the heavier, the easier it comes off

I did the lower part of the front air dam and I let each coat dry about 30 minutes or more and it came out great. Thinking about doing the back of the trunk lid around the faux gas cap.

Yes, so it will look like a GT/CS bumper. Doing the trunk right now. I'll post some pics in the next day or two.

No I haven't? But would it even stand out because the plate is there. What I have wanted to do is fill in the gap the where the license plate goes with fiberglass or something and put "MUSTANG" on the back bumper like the older models.

It's fairly simple just clean it tape off what you don't want painted and spray even coats about 6 to 8 inches away. I'm going to redo them but this time with a gloss finish ill make a vid and post it
