Thanks guys! I did the lower bumper with the "stone guard" like I said before and I had the pillars done in vinyl (black sticker). The pillars were starting to look ratty so I removed them (WHAT A PAIN IN THE A$$!!) sticker goo all over... nothing that brake cleaner couldn't fix . NOTE: if you are as crazy as me and use brake cleaner on your paint be VERY careful, IT WILL REMOVE THE PAINT!. Any way, I saw this post and decided that it was time for me to try this Plasti-dip thing and it turned out GREAT! I used this post as a guide and removed the front bumper. This was easy and really made the whole thing a breeze. The hardest part and maybe some of you plasti-professionals can help me out. When removing the masking tape how do you get it to break clean? It always wants to pull the whole thing off. I used an exacto knife to just brake the surface of the dip so I could get a clean line. Definitely not what I would want to do on the hood or something, ya know?

I also tried to Dip the rear license plate spot and It was a disaster! It was too cold out side and the dip just would not work right. After I got it done, i looked at it and IMO it didnt really add much to the rear of the car so i pulled it off.

Again, looks very nice. To get a nice line when pulling off the tape, I sprayed right on the edge and then pulled the tape off. It comes off just fine, as long as it's still wet. This worked even after 5 coats, just as long as the top coat is wet.

Go for it, I've had mine on for a few months now, and the only issue I've had is a couple rock chips on the front bumper, but just spray over them, and they're gone. I've also blasted it directly with a pressure washer at the car wash, and no issues there.

Also what did you use to contain the plastidip? Painters tape? Mind sending pics of setup if you have any?

I used normal painter's tape from Wal-Mart. Any small overspray that isn't taken care of by tape/newspaper easily comes off with a claybar.

Wow, looks awesome! I'd like to do that, but only as a temporary thing. Did he peel off the badges, or leave it like that?
Edit: Now he just needs to get it lowered...
