While it looks just like a flat black paint job unless you're three inches from it, I don't like it. For the same reason I didn't like some of the blackouts shown at past shows.

It doesn't continue to the edge of the trunk, it leaves that gap. I know that's the style some like, but it just looks incomplete.
I fully agree. I'm just finishing up painting mine tonight, and I went all the way up to the edge of the trunk lid. It looks much better that way, IMO.

Also, I am going with a semi-gloss black, I think that flat is a bit too plain.

I LOVE the idea of the magnetic panel and overall I think it turned out great.
However, IMO, it either needs to go up higher or be cut a little lower. It looks like it stops in the middle of the curve.
Even if you don't change it, I'd be interested in buying one. I can always cut it to suit my own needs.

Good job on the idea of making the "gas cap" hole smaller than the cap itself.

Your right, I did make one that went all the way up to the curve but I did not like the void that it had and also you can see the edge more. I went with exactly what the Carbon one offers and IMO when you look at this, it Strikes you as the whole panel is black. Its just a quick mod that lines up with the top black of the taillights. I think it looks pretty cool.

I figured that's the way it would look if you went all the way up to that edge. Did you try it going the other way? (cutting it just before that curve starts)

Do you have any plans to sell some? I'd like one.

Quick ! The wife ain't around

Took a whole 20 seconds to put on. Of course, If I lay it out flat for awhile, wax the car first, it would look better, but hey, not a bad little mod, that I spent 20 seconds "slapping on" for the pics.

oh oh, the frau is coming, time to take it off until next time.

Thanks to Steve (aka: nyyankee), this is great quality, great craftsmanship, and looks great!

Steve - I don't want to give away your secret price. Definitly worth it !!!

Thanks

Tom

My first shipment should arrive in 2 weeks. I also have a Carbon Fiber one coming with the order. I don't know how it's going to look, but my cutter said it's a process that binds the carbon fiber to the magnet. He makes motorcycle parts with this stuff and said this looks awesome. We will see. And you can't make the cut lower because then the amount of space between the top of the magnet and the GT badge is less than an inch and I think it looks bad.

Yeah. I see what you're saying.
Oh well. Guess I'll go back to thinking about vinyl.

I just recieved my shipment. PM me. I also got one prototype of Carbon Fiber. Check it out. But I need a minimum order of 20 for these and they are more expensive to make.

Looks great!! Do you have any more pictures from directly behind the car further back? I'm definitely interested.

Got mine from Scott yesterday and put it on today. I think it looks great. When I got the car I had a local sign guy make me one in vinyl that goes all the way up the curve and curls around the trunk lid so you don't see the edges and it also looks good. Only problem with it is if it gets scratched and/or torn, as mine did, you're stuck with it looking like crap unless you get a new one made. Scott's is thicker and not prone to tearing. I put it right over the vinyl and it's fine.
