Looks like junk, imo. :notnice: Nothing beats paint.

Dear TMS posters and Leaders.
Someone who asks for opionions, and then sends rude, scathing, threatening personal replies should not be allowed on the board.
nyyankee sends vulgar responses to folks that don’t share his “taste” in appearance mods .
This is uncalled for.
This is rude.
This is beneath most of the folks that participate on TMS.
This should not be alolowed.

I must of missed something . . . . . I didn't see anything rude on this thread (from NY, that is).
Anyway, I'm still interested.
and if somebody is wondering why, because I personally like the blackout mod concept and the wife doesn't, so this looks like the perfect fix . . . for me.
I can put it on when she's not looking and take it off when she is.

no need for abrasive comments if you don't like the idea there are more constructive ways of saying it.
Personally, I think its is a good idea if you want to try out the look and see if you like it or not. The problem with being a magnetic sheet is if dirt gets trapped back there you run the risk of scuffing the paint as it gets installed/taken off. Another thing of concern is it makes it easy for someone to steal. If you like the way the blackout looks, you are best off to get it done in either paint or vynil IMO.

Well my theory was you can easily take this off to clean. Yes it can be stolen but you have to be in the market for a rear Mustang blackout. The Carbon one costs $150+ and needs to be painted, and you can rarely take it off to clean. And if it gets scratched or stolen your out big $. This is a $20.00 item so I thought it would be cost effective.

Scott, are you in the "Selling Phase" yet?
Let me know, I'll take one.
Tom
Scott, I'm sure there are young kids out there up to no good, when they see they can peel that off in a heartbeat, they will... just to be stupid.
I still believe the best long-term solution is a vynil. It won't damage the paint and it is easy enough to remove if you decide you don't want it/you are trading the car in.
Either way, that is a cool idea.. I never would have thought of it.

Many personal mails - very rude.
Very crass.
Very threatening.
I guess calling his "improvements” trash hit close to home.
What did Hannibal say to Clarice again?
Might apply here.
“You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition has given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Agent Starling? And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed? Pure West Virginia. What's your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamb? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars... while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the FDNY.”

Now do you understand why!
