Louvers or tint

My 06 Torch Red is bone stock, but that doesn't mean I won't add a few things along the way. One question for the experts here:

I'm tempted to tint the windows, but I've read here about all sorts of problems with it.

What about rear louvers? Do you folks like them, hate them? And what does it take to install them?

It boils down to personal choice as niether is better than the other.

Tint issues are only on the fronts from scratching (lack of felt/moleskin) and felt adhesive melting (depending what climate you're in).

Personally, I like the tint better.

Not to mention the legal issues as well. Some states are insane with enforcing the "Tint Laws". Nonetheless, I'm plagued by the same debate...

I'd vote tint (put the moleskin on first though)... Torch Red looks amazing with tint.

I am doing the louvers first. I can't tint my fronts in this state. I have the side louvers on the way. I would like to see a few legends with the louvers on the back window before I buy, But I think I will do that as well soon.
I was thinking about painting the back of the side louvers before I install them. I think I will save the 130 bucks I would spend on tinting and spen it on BEER instead

Not sure what I am going to do now that I have my car. The Alloy with red interior looks too good to hide behind louvers or a dark tint.

I like the louvers, easy to install all you need is a painter or buy them prepainted.

And you could always go this route...

As to tint on the side windows - I've had it on our car for over a year in FL every day outside - no nice garage for our car. No moleskin or anything else, and no problems. I think that is partially to do with the tint used - there are a lot of brands, and a lot of formulations.

And as to rear louvers - I've heard mixed reviews on them as to fit and finish, so that's why we've stayed away for now on them. I love them on my 73 though, FWIW.

Ummm....

www.SilverHorseRacing,com

We manufacture (or more technically correct are in the process of manufacturing) them for the 05-up cars. Pre-order is going on now, for 109.00 for the pair!

The thread on them can be found here:
