LOL - No R&R for the boss, everyone agrees I don't deserve it...

Anyway, there's a lot of painted louvers that came in Friday, so I'm trying to get them done to go out tomorrow, along with everything else that needs to be taken care of for the place to run smooth while I'm gone.

Oh, and two of our new products will be shown at Mustang Week, so stop by and check them out!!

Is there a reaason that I havent' seen anyone mold these into the body? is it because of heat expansion or something? Just wondering because that would be my deciding factor on window louvers... whether or not they totally replaced and molded into the body. Just wondering and thanks for the response.

Mine were delivered today. They go in Thursday. I'll be sure to post pics. I'm pretty excited. My Ford dealer is installing them and quoted me $26 + tax. I made sure they knew they were replacing the windows, not tacking them on top.

I know, I was shocked. I made sure they knew they would be replacing the glass with them. My fiance was there last week and scheduled the appointment and wanted to confirm the price. They confirmed it and wrote it on a business card. Even if that's per side, it's really good. We'll see what happens. But one way or another, I'll get out of there for well under $100. I just bought two brand new cars from them, they've got to give a little.

Can you take a pic of how you did it?

Thanks!!!!

You don't want to attempt this - too many materials in an area that sees too much of a temperature swing on any given day. Eventually the body filler used would crack, and when it did, you wouldn't be happy.

I would think the only way to mold them in would be to make them out of steel and weld them on. But then, you won't be able to see out, unless you made little glass inserts for them. Any metal fabricators want to give it a try?

Got them yesterday

Got them in the mail yesterday I will be putting them on myself in a few days after I feel comfortable with the directions. For those of you that have installed your self how much adhesive is too much I afraid of putting to much and it oozing out from behind it. Help put my fears to rest please. Thanks.

I havn't done this yet but I will in the near future. I'm sure if it does ooze out a little you can just wipe it off. It's not going to "Set" right as you apply it.

Absolutely!! Anyone can pay for all the glitter. But to be able to say you did it yourself. There is no better feeling. Definately bragging rights at shows!!

Mine are in. Cost me a whole $75 to have installed at my dealer. Of course they were all thoroughly impressed with them. I'll have pictures up later today. They look fantastic with my new honeycomb panel and legend spoiler.

Got everything installed. The SHR stuff is top notch quality. Everything fit like a glove and paint match was dead on. Snapped a few pics before the rain moves in. I'll do a "photoshoot" next weekend probably. The only thing the rear end needs now is the GT/CS rear bumper and it'll be done. That'll be after I get my chin spoiler, otherwise it would look "*** heavy" lol. Then except for wheels and lowering, the exterior will be done.

and a couple of pics of the girls together

Hey Marcello, I pulled my louvers since they loosened due to the lack of adhesion promoter (it sucks being one of the first to put them in w/out being able to learn from others' mistakes). Anywho - can you PM me a fair price on a replacement set of pre-paints in Torch Red and let me know how long of a time-frame? FWIW - I was one of the pre-orders.
For anyone who's wondering - I'm probably going to get a set of pre-paints because my local painter didn't do as well as I'd hoped.
