Looking for underside pics of all fibergalss hoods
I 'm wanting a new hood but can't decide on which and the underside appearance is very important to me. If you've got an aftermarket hood, please post pics of underside and topside. Thanks a lot. It's much appreciated
Steve, this hood is one I've been eyeing for a long time. The vents are functional right? Its hard to see the holes underneath. Also what can I expect to pay for prep and paint? And lastly, wheres the cheapest place to purchase with shipping and all? Thanks.
1 more question, are there any covers available for the underneath?

I run mine without a cover but i'm pretty sure if we wanted to we could get the oem cover to fit. My brother made mention of trying it if we wanted to.
You can really feel the heat coming out of the cowl opening with the car idle. The car felt a little hotter on the inside from heat hitting the winshield unless im crazy

The vents are functional and it drops the air right over the cone filter loctaion of the CAI. see the right side of the hood toward the front.
I think I got mine for a good price $1,100 for hood paint and install.
I think the price for the hood has gone up since then so may be a bit more. I got mine thru RK Sport direct.
I tried to put the cover back on mine but the areas under the hood are raised to allow the air flow so the matt doesn't fit right. Also you would have to cut a big hole to allow the air to flow to the filter.
Just paint the underside and be done with it. Had mine on over a year and no trouble with the paint from the heat under the hood.
Tip, leave the center 18" of the insulator at the back of the hood off and the cowl of the hood will also let the heat out the back of the hood.
I wanted to add...I notice on my Steeda cowl hood when driving in the rain the water drops that come over the edge of the hood are sucked into the opening. But when stopped you sure can fell the heat coming out.
I mean it makes sense since its considered cowl Induction.
I think this would make for a perfect hood for anyone with say a procharger where the intake filter is moved right by the cowl opening.
Mike, nothing going on except for the usual party destinations.(check out channelside for a real good time). Thanks for the compliment. I'll post pics ASAP. It wont be done until after Thanksgiving though
