No problem guys.

I know I studied the heck out of it before I decided on going with matte black on my black GT.

Did you go with vinyl or paint for the matte black?

I went with vinyl. Matte black paint is not a good idea currently.

My car is garage kept and sun is not an issue.

The problem with matte paint on a car is that the matte paint will be raised or layer on. Its edges will never be smooth and will catch wax and also possibly peel or flake up. If you attempt to put clear coat on top of it, it will turn the matte shiny. If you attempt to use satin clear coat you will have to lay it in next to the gloss an uneven line.

I'm sure someone out there can do this, but not at any price I am willing to pay.

However if you do a colored strip of any kind you can easily clear coat over it and have a hood or roof as smooth as when you started and not have any edges for wax to collect against or get under.

For $120 or so and my own installation the vinyl stripes served my purpose that the paint could not.

Yeah I heard the same thing about Matte black from a buddy that does paint work. It's just too difficult to do matte and make it look right. I'm so unsure about what color and style I want to do on my black GT. It's a tough decision and to do paint is much more costly but also permanent, so making a bad decision is something you live with for a long time.
