Picked up new tires! Kumho 4X

Sooooo... I'm gonna try them out. I had Kumho's on my old Tiburon and I remember liking them. I picked them up at Discount Tire. The price was right, about 720.00 out the door after a instant 50$ rebate and then i have a mail in from Kumho for 50 bux. So actually the price will be about 670.00 after it's all said and done. As of right now they are great considering that my old BFG's were DONE. The side wall of the tires are a little lame. It seems like the shoulder blocks don't come out far enough. Anyway I just thought I would give my initial impressions on this new tire. I will post and update after i put some miles on them.

I assume you mean the Kuhmo ASX. I'm on my second set. Last time I upgraded wheels to 18's and went with 255x45x18. I am very pleased with them.

Hmm...never used the 4x. I installed ASXs on my Mustang in January, and I had them on my Sable, Taurus, and my wife's Mazda 3s before. Great tires, cheap, and they can actually handle a bit of snow before they die on you. Much better than the BFG KDWS tires that came with the Mustang.

Good luck with the 4x. Let us know how they work out!

So it's been a couple weeks and I have to say the tire are good. They are just what i wanted. Smooth and quiet. They grip well but I'm not an auto crosser or anything. Just an onramp bomber.

Fantastic news, thanks for reportin' in. This makes my "should I?" a lot easer to make. My Pirellis are almost done, next rotation will not likely be done.

/probably wheels too... always said after this set, new wheels.
