does anyone know if there is some kind of anti-rust treatment?

 

I will say this tho. They were on someone elses car for a year before I had them/hood. And I dont think he(Tatloon) took all that much care in keeping the car clean/waxed

 

Hmmm, well back last year when I purchased my GT-H hood I asked Sheldy about the rust and they did say they where working on billet ones that wouldn't. last I spoke with Bud over there a few months ago he did say they where selling them and hadn't heard anything about them rusting yet. I guess I'll give him a call again (if he answers)

I spoke with the designer and he is currently working with a manufacture to produce them (even thought his site says otherwise).. He states they will be available in 2 months.

I'm still debating on which pins myself (Shelby or the one I posted).

 

Well, I just got my new fiberglass hood on and I went back to stick on hood pins. I had mine on there for a while and loved them.

 

very neat I would like to see them first hand before I bought them.

 

Hi, I've got mine from CDC and they are also 2.5'' diameter.

 

i think these are totally badass....

but no one has them .

these would go right in with a matte black finish.

I picked mine up at Auto Zone and couldnt be happier

 

I just had these installed recently. Love them. Quality is excellent. Mine are rivited on instead of the standard screws they give.

 

I'm curious as to whose twist type hood pins Shelby America is using on the KR. Does anyone know?
