My car is having the bumper covers installed and the Bodyshop guy just called and said that the plastic windshield under the radiator falls about 3 inches short of the GT/CS bumper cover. I don't recall this problem arising for anyone before. Does anyone have any advice?

 

I've never heard of that problem before???? great choice though switching to the GT/CS bumpers, they give the car an awesome look! Hope everything works out for you and make sure to post some pics when it's installed!

 

Sounds like you're missing the piece that connects the bumper cover to the "windshield" under the car. Like to one at the bottom of this picture.

Thanks for the info. I spoke to the body shop guy, the lower side faux grill pieces are missing also. I believe these are supposed to come with the Ford Accessory part # 6r3z6320049aa as per the old posts about this conversion. I have been waiting for 3 years to do the conversion and when my car got hit in a parking lot I finally had the "justification to do it. Now this mistake and delay is really irritating.

I'll call my dealer and find out where the missing pieces are.

Problem solved. The dealer sent the replacement bumper not the accessory kit. When I made them aware of the mistake he sent over the necessary parts immediately. Car should be finished today!!!!!!
