#1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Was wondering How long would it take to put Stripes on a Stang GT.
I have a autobody guy that has done many cars and hes pretty cheap so I want them from the Front to the back and on the sides too.I think the Stripes looks very cooll on the sides by the door also.
Let me know what yea think of the stripes.....Thanks JohnnyT

What do you think of the stripes that Bob White sells for that side of the car by the doors?
I like the ones that say BOSS on them from the other site.Or do you think its too much to add all those strips....JohnnyT

I personally don't really like the side stripes, but it is YOUR car, do what YOU like, it is all a matter of taste. I am sure that there are other pics on this site with the different stripe options, just search them out.
Bob White's stripes are great quality, I would say that the side stripes are the same material, so quality wise, these are awesome.
What color car do you have and what color stripes? To me, that is the biggest factor. I really like a white with blue combo, or a blue with white, Black with dark red. But I love the Tungsten color, so I bought that and to me the hood stripes are enough, for now at least, maybe some side stripes with differnt rims.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I just joined the forum.
I am supposed to get my 2006 Tungsten GT the end of this
month...
Anyway, Scott, you mention:
"But I love the Tungsten color, so I bought that and to me the hood stripes are enough, for now at least, maybe some side stripes with differnt rims."
Does this mean that you have the hood stripes? If so, what do
you have? I have been really debating adding the silver stripes
like on the 2004 show car. Any opinions? I like them but I am
wondering how many Tungsten GTs will soon have them...
Thanks

My post a few up has a pic. They are the Bob White 10" with bumper extensions.
So far, I havn't seen any other TG owners with stripes. Silver has benn discussed quite a bit, as has black like mine. I was set on black stripes from before I ordered, I love the looks of gray and black.
Anyway, like I said before, it is your car, do what makes you happy. Look at the TG with black and with silver and see which you like better.

Sorry about that, I noticed the pic after I had sent my last mail.
OK, the black stripes do look pretty darn good.
As to johnnytuinals original post, I have to go with Scott on
this and say pick what you like best. To be honest, I think
they all look pretty good.
Now I just have to decide what to do for myself... I have a buddy
that suggested black, as well.

My custom-cut stripes ran $300 and were included in the price of the car. I negotiated to "either have them done the way I want, or I walk away." Suffice it to say, the dealer was listening.
Mine are 11" wide, with a 1.5" gap between them. I also opted not to have any stripes on the side.
The entire job took about 8 hours. The guy who did it said he had never done stripes like this on an '05, nor would he ever do it again since it was very challenging. However, he also guaranteed in writing that he'd do it exactly like I wanted and once the job started he would keep on going until I was satisfied. Fortunately for both of us, he got it perfect on his first try.

Axelay, have to take a moment and say... very nice
JohnnyT... Do what YOU like. To be honest, I wouldn't put
them on my Mustang, but that is because it's not the look
I am going for. Doesn't mean I dislike them... they look good.
If it is the look YOU want, then do it.
I bet you'll be happy with the results.
