Burke... that is one black beauty. Great job on your car, bro. Can't wait to see the ducktail on there and lowered. You just took over first place of my favorite '05.

(and I know what you mean about the $$ - I don't have a wife to worry about but after I get the ducktail taken care of, the mods STOP for the immediate future.... arrghh - this hobby is too expensive... :bang: )

yeah Cher said you are a bad, bad influence on me...it was your idea to get the billet pieces for the engine etc....

Hey I really like what you've done with your car!

Quick comment though...
Should have went with 4:10's or a 3:73's though with an Auto. 3:31 to 3:55 is not going to be much different. To each there own though, but you really do have a nice car!

HEY Kev - YOU started the whole thing with your #%@% sequentials!! You lit the fuse and I had to have them - see what it lead to?? Tell Cher its really all your fault!

Hawkeye - thanks for the compliment.

The 3.55s - I am really not going to run on the track all that often or anything like that - I read the Alternative Auto column soon after they got their 05 and for normal street usage, they said bumping up to the 3.55s would be fine for that - my brother seconded that so that's what I went with. I will say I defintely CAN tell a slight difference getting out of the hole. I was so nervous those few runs I took, I really didn't have the rpms up as high for the launch as I could have - I still left the line decent and on my last run when I was a bit more confident and had the rpms up the highest off all the runs (even though I could have brought 'em up higher - next time!), it launched real strong....

And Dang it - I KNEW I would forget someone on my Thank You post - BLACK MAGIC!!! Thanks for the gears man!! (sorry about missing you in that post!)

As the kids like to say that car is sick. Easily one of the best '05's I have seen. Your also giving me alot of good ideas when I get one of my own.

I, personally, am not really into asthetics so much. I just want to thank you for having your car at the show and filling my wife's head with all kinds of ideas on asthetics for the car. Your car does look awesome! I didn't notice the dream hood with it being up. I wish I had. I've been wanting to look one over up close. I'll have to catch you around town. I probably walked by you a dozen times and didn't know it. I had mine parked and cooling off on the other side of the mobile dyno while we looked at cars. You definately had the best looking 05 there. Not that I don't like Kevin's. I just like the combinations and the color better. My wife said she would have picked black if we won that raffle for the 05. The show wasn't that big due to 3 reasons: 1. 1st year 2. not enough advertisement 3. It was a reschedule due to the 1st one being rained out. It'll be pretty good next year. The air felt like 100 degrees, but I think your brother is on the mark with the track temp being 120+. Sorry I missed catching up with you guys.

sweet ride, I have been going back and forth on the hood and your car has now put the idea back in my head....ca I make a few suggestions to clean it up a little bit, first remove the white decals on the headlight covers that come on them, second redline hoodshocks (the black ones to match the car) really clean up the engine look, and last maybe black out the turn signals, the side markers and the third brake light, I suggest nightshades, its a spray on tint and works awesome, start light and then get darker as to your liking, works better then vynll and looks like it might have come that way.

Are headlight and tail-light covers legal? I thought I heard they weren't in Texas...dunno, need to be set straight, as usual

And a very sweet ride bro! The same thing I hope to accomplish soon...if the SOB will ever get here!!!

I think the MRT interceptor would look better if it had headlight covers as dark as yours.

Dave- Your car is absolutely beautiful! I love that hood too. Be sure and post pics when the ducktail and springs are done.

Red Raider- Unless something changed in the last year those covers are illegal for street use. There was a news story a couple years ago about Arlington PD pulling over everybody and their brother driving with them on.
