Question Clear Turn signals

I am debating between these two clear turn signals:

- Clear Turn Signal Lights with Black Housing (from american muscle) for $99 + required bulbs

-or the smoked turn signals (form stangmods) which you can buy as a package with the chrome/amber bulbs for $134

What do you guys think are they too ricey? Post pictures of yours

I say the first ones because they would go better with the black exterior.

I think the black housing for your black car. I have the clear ones for my Candy Apple Red, but they are not on the car yet. As soon as the LED bulbs I ordered come it, I'll put them on. Post pics when you are done!

cool I was leaning towards the black housing ones as well but american muscle doesn't sell the bulbs just the lenses. Anyone know where I can get them w/ bulbs since it would save me a bunch on shipping to Canada?

I'd be wary of the units with the black housing - the housing is at best a matte finish with very little reflectivity for the bulb. IMO you're better off to go with the smoked units and chrome bulbs (that light amber when powered).

Personally, I would think it would depend on whether you want to black out the stuff on your car or not. My tastes lean towards being able to see the light because I don't like vast expanses of uninterupted black, but that's just me.

I agree on the safety and better use of smoked, although my real vote would be to go with clear and use chromed bulbs. they light up amber fine when you need them (which is the point, I still don't understand why this is a legal issue).

Good Luck!

Plus, with those black housing/clear lens w/chrome bulb units, you have the opposite of the chrome housing/clear lenses w/amber bulbs - The chrome bulbs really stand out in the black housing and don't blend in at all like they do with a chrome housing. Food for though

well I decided I went with 'Smoked' turn lights w/ bulbs from stangmods.com. If anyone has pictures of these on a black car it would be much appreciated
