I've been looking heavily into the cervini's kit. I've almost got enough money saved up and with the holidays coming up (and my birthday is shortly thereafter) hopefully I be able to finaly get one. I have, however, had one question about this kit. What is its weight? I've talked to a guy at cervini's and he couldnt give me any numbers. Does anyone know, even an aproxamate number? Guys with the kits, do u notice any change before/after? It looks really cool but it also looks heavy. If it is, I might have to go w/ the saleen or the street scene. Help is appreciated.

 

Well I can tell you that the Street Scene front bumper is MUCH heavier than the stock.

I don't know exact numbers but I would guess it weighs around 10 - 20 pounds more than the stock.

The side skirts and rear valence, I doubt weigh enough to make a difference between stock, but the side skirts ARE heavier than the stock sides.

I would imagine that the Cervini's kit is made of similar material and will be heavier than the stock material... take a look at your stock front bumper on the edges if you can... it's very thin... the Street Scenes is definately not.

 

The Cervini kit is made of urethane, so it's going to be much lighter than any fiberglass kit.

 

If you're that concerned about weight, you could get a carbon fiber hood instead of their fiberglass one as well.

 

The Street Scenes is made of Urethane as well... not very light at all.

 

I have the full cervinis kit. I haven't compared the stock bumper to the new one, but I would say the cervinis parts are equal or less weight. When I got the huge boxes they were light enough I was curious if there was anything in them.
