Does anyone know the physical difference between the Saleen and CDC shaker Scoop? Why I ask is I found a great deal on an aluminum Dan Gurney Saleen hood that is pre-cut for a Saleen Shaker Scoop. I already have a CDC shaker scoop and need a new hood after my accident. While the price is good on the Dan Gurney hood, it would not be if I need to do trimming and rework.

 

Not sure on the dimensions of the hole but I do know that the Saleen Shaker sit's a bit higher than the CDC. Which might cause your scoop to look a bit sunken in.

 

Don't hold me to it, but i believe i heard somewhere that they are in fact the same cutout. Now i am unsure of the height, but it should fit in the hole as far as size and location.

If you are referring to the ones that are on Ebay, those are basically a Foose hood with hood pin holes. And I have seen both the CDC and Saleen shakers installed in the Foose hoods. I could be wrong, but the hoods look identical.

Maybe you get someone with Saleen shaker to take a few measurements and compare it to your CDC

 

Yeah, the ones on ebay are the ones I am referring to. They do look identical. If the scoop fits, I think I can heat the plastic trim ring and mold it to the bumps near the arrow portion. It does not look like a high ridge.
