Ok, I got my shaker installed tonight. Took me about 2 hours. 1.5 of which was just getting the darn throttle body screws reinstalled. What genius thought of that idea.

Anyway, Don. Wouldn't you know it. Mine is not centered either. The trim ring is but the shaker isn't. What a pain. I don't have the tools available to fiddle around with it. Was yours angled towards the passenger side? At the front of the shaker I have 1/2" gap on the passenger side but a 3/4" gap on the drivers side. It is rather noticable and annoys the heck out of me. I have installed the shaker using the stock box and reflash my ECM back to stock settings For now anyway till I can figure something out. I am going to contact CDC tomorrow regarding the bad alignment.

Wow that really looks great. If you had not mentioned the offset, I would not have noticed, but it sounds like the mounting brackets can be slotted to compensate for the offset. A pain perhaps, but repairable...

I'll bet it looks great from the driver's seat.

I never thought it looked too small, although I have seen some comments where people thought it was. So, what do you think now that you have one?

I think John is off-line, but personally, I love the view from the drivers seat!!! And I think the size is perfect... very much like the 69/70 versions!!

Ya, alot of people think it looks to small. At first I did too and wanted to get a larger hood scoop, but with everything I have done to my car I think this finished it off nicely. This weekend I plan on taking more pics of my car to show all different angles. It looks really cool from inside the car.

Now that I see the CDC variety, it looks good where it sits - what I mean is that the FANG shaker sits 4" closer to the windshield. I talked to them about this and FANG said that when the first started working with the CDC model, they thought it looked like it sat too far forward, so for their version, they moved it back 4".

I took a look at the Fang website, and I still prefer the CDC version. But, either one would look awesome IMO!!!

I personally prefer CDC's placement of the shaker. It's right in line with the front tires from the side. The more I look at it and walk around my car the more I realize CDC nailed it on the head with their placement. I'm not trying to belittle Fang's setup either, I really like their's also. But what I like about Fang's most is their actual hood. If I could maybe get their hood with the cutout 4" forward (or however far they moved theirs) I would be good to go.

Ya, I know that Fang prefers theirs back further but I didn't care much for the design of the hood. The fact that the air is routed through the hood and above the air filter is not a true cold air induction setup. Either way, I like the placement of both systems.

Here's a question that I'm sure has been asked before. Any problem when you are cleaning your car and spray into the ram air opening?

shouldn't be a problem. Car isn't running when I am cleaning it and there are drains installed into the system. Drove it in the rain yesterday, no issues.

adrenalin, I think the Shelby stripes definitley make the shaker look awesome! What size are your stripes and what is the gap?

Does the Shaker sit a little low to anyone? It seems like half the induction system is below the hood. How high does it sit and do any of you plan on raising it up? Still looks great and I plan on doing that once I get my car.

I guess low is subjective. It appears to sit lower when compared to 69-70, 03-04 shaker equipped stangs.

I have noticed that too - perhaps that "lower" perspective contributes to some saying that the CDC shaker looks too "small"...

The Fand Performance shaker seems to sit a little higher and thus appears to be a normal size. Maybe an optical illusion?

I don't have one yet, but I would guess that it could be raised - at least a little... I am sure Adrenalin or Don W can answer that one.
