I ordered my kit monday and was hoping it would be here by the weekend, but I just got the tracking number and it looks like it will be here Monday. That will work out pretty well however as that's my day off.

Same thing happened to me. It was suppose to ship out on Wednesday so I would receive it today. They didn't ship it until yesterday so I won't get it until Monday :bang: I wanted to install it this weekend. Now I will have it for a while before I get a chance to install it. :bang: :bang:

It looks like the shaker is a little crooked. Kinda angles towards the drivers side.

I saw that too...
Question, if the shaker is too small, is it too big to put a scoop on top of the saker, have something bigger over it? I don't know how big it is, and I don't know if there are scoops that big out there to put over the shaker scoop.. just an idea

It leans toward the drivers side so that when you are WOT it is sitting straight

That would be a pretty high hood scoop to cover it, but that really defeats the purpose of the shaker. It is there to be seen, not covered.

Darn customs charges. $36.00 for shipping but $211.52 CAD for customs charges.

Dang man... You should have just drove to CDC and got it installed there... I don't think they'd charge you customs for a mod you did in the states

I know. It would have taken me about 1 1/2 hours to get there.

After spending the majority of Friday evening working with the scoop, I have determined that installing the shaker with a C&L CAI (and probably any other CAI except the stock filter box/tube), will require some trimming/cutting of various parts of the shaker housing. There are several areas of interference, including but not limited to, the C&L intake tube, the MAF sensor, the passenger side vent tube, and various hoses. My jigsaw and a dremel tool were busy tonight. And the TBS had to be removed, too. Tomorrow, I will finish fitting the air inlet piping, and then cut the hood opening.

Here are few pics after most of the trimming was done.

Don, you do realize I hate you now

Looks good. So how are you incorporating your C&L air filter into the system? I can't get the MMR air filter to fit into the factory air housing unit so I might have to use the one that comes from CDC. It is gonna be tricking getting the MAF unit to mount up with the factory air filter box. Can't wait to see pics on how yours looks when it is done.

I was checking that out. The thing that scares me is they call it a "universal" hood scoop and list several vehicles that it fits. I assume that mean you have to trim it to fit.

It looks like the drop tube that comes from the shaker will work with CAI filter heat shield (with some minor tweaks). It sets about 1" farther towards the front of the car than the stock air box, so I just need a slightly longer piece of 3" coupler hose to connect the two. I'll post pics after it's done showing what I did. Time to get back to work.
