This was my first time with vinyl...... about 20 minutes into the job, I was ready to scrap it and have someone else do it. But I kept going and once I figured out some tricks, I actually ended up enjoying it.

Crazy as it may sound, I think the main body kit may be easier to do than the side stripes. Getting the stripes to line up where I wanted in relation to the front fender, door openings, and rear fender took alittle time.

I wish I had pictures of the install process, but when doing it by myself I didn't feel like stopping to take pix. When I do the main kit I'll see if my wife is smart enough to work the camera for me.

do these stripes stick up off the paint noticeably? like easily noticably?

also i ask because i wanted to put that clear protective film that 3M sells for cars to stop chips over the front of the car and hope it will go over the stripes with no problem

I don't think you'll have a problem. You have to stick your face right on 'em to tell they are vinyl.

Well guys, 8 hours last night and about 5 hours this morning, and viola! I didn't have any help, but I did manage to snap some pix during the process, so if any one wants to see them, PM me.

Otherwise, here's the finished product!

Once its cured, I'm gonna even out the bottom portion of the bumper- what a PITA it was!!

Thank you!

I've got a 1/4" pinstripe kit to accent it the stripes. I may wait till next weekend though before installing those.

You can do it........don't worry about not being able to do it, that's important. Mine's not perfect everywhere, but it's about 95% flawless, completed at my own schedule, and only cost me the price of the kit. Can't beat that!

Awesome job! I'm planning on doing the stripes myself and the pinstripe as well. Always glad to see when someone is happy with the work they did themselves.

I have the white pinstripe kit to install yet. I really think it will complete the look. Maybe start on it tonight if I get the chance.
