For those that have it (and I who have it on it's way), what do you have to do to the air filter (housing) for the ram air to work properly?

Thanks in advace.

I tried PM a couple of people that have it but got no response that way.

I have a CAI on mine. Works great.
You could buy another filter box and cut out the top.

Does the hood close with the existing lid. What did you end up doing?
Got pics?

Yes the hood will close with the stock box. It is raised for clearance to add a supercharger.

Looks awsome.

Mine's black. IT was a hard choice. Wasn' t sure if it would show up with the color. But I've seen some pretty cool black with the california dream.

Do you have any finished pics with the hood up?

man that is a nice looking hood. Did the body shop have to do a lot of working in alignment or fixing blemishes?

Luckylou has a black 05 with this hood.

Here is the underside of the hood which I had them finish also.

Not much work had to be done to it.
Just a little bit of work to align it.
They had it done in 2 days.

Luck Lou's hood is what convinced me to with California Dream.

Nice filter. How much did that set you back? How much more HP you getting now.

I had the underside of mine painted as well - but decided to re-install the insulation.

Any plans what to do with the air filter housing, to make the ram air functional?

I've ordered & recv'd the K&N CAI - haven't installed it yet. A tune isn't specified for it -- but I've heard some comments from friends complaining that they are having problems w/ computer errors that may be resulting from not having a tune. So I'm holding off until I find out more.

With regard to the stock filter -- some people say to cut the top open -- which should work. Might want to order a replacement from Ford if you decide to go that route. Just to be on the safe side.

mine, too.

Make sure you call, instead of ordering online. I saved $150 in trucking.
