Buddy of mine has the V6 strut tower on his Ken Bell equipped SGT. I'm pretty sure he said it wouldn't work with the whipple.

I searched, but with no success, but I thought I read somewhere that the strut retaining nuts are a "one-time use"?

I bought a Bullitt stb on-line but needed to exchange it as it showed up with some rub marks on the top of the bars, hopefully to get one that looks "new" this time around.

Is the proper torque spec of the nuts 12ft-lbs? No instructions with the brace that I received.

Ford Recomends a Lot of Hardware being Replaced every time. I would Not Be To Concerend unless those Nuts are Repeatedly Takin on and off. The Bullit Strut Bars are Not Packaged as Well as they Should be. I always Repack and Reinforce my bays so they Do not Flop around in the Box.

My report on this brace, fits over cover no problem at all and does not even come close to hitting my GT500KR hood I love it!

Current Tms Pricing on these are $164.65 + Ups.

I always Inspect the bars I sell for a good Quality Finish as they can vary. I send back any Duds to Ford. Also I repackage to protect so you get it as good as I did.

to Order Simply give me a Call at 1-800-570-5554!

Sorry, I have been away from the forums so long.

KC,

My '08 has the cover and the stock hood. Will this STB fit without mods to the cover and without pushing on the hood insulation?

Been searching for a while and haven't really found an answer.

Thanks!

Is 12 FT-lbs the correct torque for the bolts? I installed mine and seemed to have a rattle coming from passenger side but everything is tight.
