The cover was set on top of the two rear studs. I suppose I can remove it and try installing the cover under the studs. My question at this point would be is it really necessary? Assuming my measurement of 0.4 to 0.5-inches is accurate how much more clearance do I need to have between the plenum cover and the strut tower brace? 1 inch? more?
When I started up the car this morning I monitored the engine and there did not seem to be much (if any) vertical movement at idle.

I took a quick look at the BMR STB on my 07 V8 and it looks like I have about 0.5 in clearance over the OEM plenum cover in front and something like 0.25 in clearance in the back. Seems to me that this FRPP STB should be fine. I've never had a clearance issue with the BMR brace. I am real close to just pulling the trigger on this and selling the BMR STB.
Well after a week of driving my car I'm happy to say that there's not yet any evidence of the plenum cover rubbing or impacting the strut tower brace.
I'm going to continue tracking this to insure that this doesn't change as the car ages.

I got mine today and when installing it found way too much play in the mounting holes.
I`m going to be working on a solution to tighten er up !
Otherwise looks great. Silver powdercoat !
Update: I have machined 4 shims to fill the gap between the strut tower studs and the mounting hole of the brace for a very tight fit.

Don't wait for the this to be posted onto Ebay. Just call Kevin and order it up. He's the BEST! He got me a great deal for the brace so I just had to add on the Roush hood scoop. Excellent customer service!!
I just got my strut brace today and dug in the garage for an hour to find my impact wrench. I could not wait. Dresses up the engine bay, real nice. No problems at all, very solid tight fit. I took her for a short test drive and I can feel the difference. I LOVE IT!

As I remember, the torque spec for those bolts is like 12 ft-lbs. Not needing the impact wrench.
Hopefully my STB will arrive tomorrow so I can get it on and post some pics. I have the "old" hood liner so I'll report back on interference issues with it.
