Body Kit Advice
I have decided on a Performance White 2006 (cant actually buy it until i get back from overseas) and installing the 3D Carbon "Boy Racer" kit.
However I do not like the wing on the back and was thinking of going with a CDC Ducktail and a set of Blackened Foose rims like the ones on the Foose Stallion.
My question is has anyone seen what the 3D carbon kit would look like without the wing (maybe a talented photoshopper can help me out here)? Or has anyone seen another kit similar to that one that looks good with a CDC (or Street Scenes) ducktail. I absolutely love that 3D Carbon hood, and the Foose Wheels so I will probably stick with those. The rest i can work with.

Well that news is about as welcome as a kick to the crotch. :bang:
Just re-read the description on the hood from their site and it says:
"The 3dCarbon™ 05 Mustang “Boy-Racer†Hood was featured on the 3dCarbon Award winning Mustang at the 05 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Currently we are evaluating the necessary tooling requirements to produce the Hood. Check back for further updates.
Part # NA “Boy-Racer†Hood
Estimated Price $850.00"
Thanks for pointing that out. Looks like I have some more searching to do. Thats to bad, I really liked that hood. Know of any others that are close to the same looks as that one?

I have the 3D Carbon Boy Racer Wing in my possession. I will have it painted, perhaps as soon as a week from tomorrow, providing that my V6 arrives, and I get the unpainted rocker panels off quickly to get those painted too, all in one shot. I believe that the reason people don't care for the wing is due to the two-tone paint job that 3D has on its show car. The stripes and the wing in conjunction are just a bit too much. My car is Torch Red, and I'll have the wing painted solid body color.
From an Aero point of view, only an Elevated Wing will do what you really want it to do, and that is to provide down-force at speed without a large drag penalty. I am pretty sure that for every ten pounds of down force you get from a rear spoiler, you are going to get ten pounds of drag. With a wing that is up in clear airflow, you probably get ten pounds of down force for only 1 pound of drag. Functionally, the wing is the correct way to go.

i believe it is because it is ginormous

Hey - a guy has to compensate somehow

Seriously, 3D Carbon has provided to me a custom built one-piece work of art, in my humble opinion. A very well cast fiberglass wing, hollow, very light, and very rigid.
