Blue valve covers INSTALLED!!! PICS!!!
I've had these things for over a month, but with car shows virtually every weekend, and with working 60+ hours here at the dealership, I couldn't find a free few hours to get them on, until a few Sundays ago. These were bought from fellow forum member blackhat, who upon trading his '05 GT for a Shelby GT, he didn't need these anymore (no plans to mod the Shelby). Loved the color, and they came with all the hardware. They were originally from Kar Kraft on Ebay. This company basically buys Ford valve covers, and powercoats them. For the price he offered I couldn't pass them up. Install took 1.5 hours with dad's help (never will pass up a chance to have him help out. 55+ years as an auto mechanic. ). Anyhow, here are the pics below. Hope you all like them. They really set the engine compartment off now. Much better than the grimy factory ones.

I had a Dad like that. (Sure do miss him)
Isn't it great how they know all the little tricks to make a job easier and shorter.
By the way, the valve covers look good.

Thanks for all the warm replies everyone. I love how the covers came out, and really make the engine bay look much cleaner. About my dad, he's an amazing man! There isn't ANYTHING he can't fix when it comes to cars. He retired from being an auto mechanic several years ago, and now he fixes the fun cars, antiques, classics, you name it. Mach, he will fix anyone's car if they were referred to him from a friend.
A quick rundown of what was in the garage recently; early 1900's car, '67 Firebird 400, '49 Ford Coupe, '67 GT500, early 40's Ford pickup, you name it. He owns a '21 Model T Touring, several Model A's, a '66 Mustang, a '30 Mack Firetruck, and a parade car that is custom built. He's a part of the AACA, and goes on the Glidden Tours. He's the offical mechanic. I have a great picture of him and a friend under a tarp somewhere in Detroit, during one of the tours. Under the tarp (to help him stay dry) was a 40's Packard he was fixing in the rain. The tarp was keeping him dry. All you could see were his feet. Needless to say, he's the smartest person I know, and the reason I am such a car nut.

+1 on the covers. I agree that the ford blue really works with this engine bay.
+1 with working with your dad. I also did mine with Dad although he's no professional mechanic there isn't anything he couldn't do and also the reason I'm a car nut. Anytime I get to work with my dad is a good time !

Looks good.... this was one of my most liked mods too.
When I posted mine a while back, I mentioned having a local powder-coater who did mine for $80. If anyone is interested, let me know I can send details.
