Here you go guys had my son install my new Carbon Fiber hood. I had 20% black mixed in with the clear coat so when you look at the hood it looks black but when you look at it from close you can see the carbon fiber weaving.

How was the quality of the hood? Did it take much prep for it? I've been looking at Trufiber hoods, but have read mixed reviews.

 

Mine is carbon fiber so no prep work required it comes with a clear, on my this hood I had the paint shop add some black to the clear so you can get the effect that I got on my hood. The fiberglass do require some prep work but not anything out of the ordinary.

 

I checked on the carbon fiber ones, but found they were fiberglass that was wrapped in carbon fiber... so I wasn't sure if they needed to be prepped like fiberglass.

Did you just paint on top of your hood?

I'd want to paint mine, so I'm not sure how that would work.
