3D Carbon Body Kit?
I'm wondering if anyone has the 3D Carbon body kit on their car. The only one I've seen has been the show car. I'm interested in the kit but was wondering if there are problems with it since nobody seems to have one.
Bumping this just so maybe someone has a little info and sees the post. I wonder if the fender flares are scaring people away? I'd love to buy it for my car but I don't want to be the test dummy. lol
I sent 3d Carbon an email to get a copy of the instructions via PDF. I want to see what is all involved with the kit. I'm hoping that is uses the stock locations for mounting. Not sure how the fender flares are going to work because I'm not a body guy.

Murray, I wanted the fender skirts, (they're the only skirts on the market that look like they belong on the car) but it sems they would only work with the flares. Don't want the flares, so no skirts. :notnice:
I have a Boy Racer Wing in my possession, and when my car arrives, I'm going to have it (as well as my V6 rocker panels) painted monotone Torch Red. I guess I should have a photo by the end of October. I believe the Wing will be truly functional, and if not racing stripped, should look pretty cool.

So I went to a show today and got to see the 3d Carbon Mustang up close.
The fender flares are indeed there. They are mounted with screws inside the wheel well. I imagine they might be attached somehow to the body, but I couldn't see any evidence of that... looked like they were just bolted on inside the wheel well.
Also they are apparent when you're right up on the car, but about five or so feet away you really can't tell they are even there unless a stock mustang is right next to it.
I really like the kit, but it's strange. In person, to me, it seemed like it was almost too much. Like it almost took away the look of the car a little too much.
BUT as I said earlier about five or so feet away it just looked mean
Anyhoo... I still haven't made up my mind, but I'm pretty sure that IF I get any kit at all it will be this one.
Here are a couple up-close pics of the fender flares:

And a couple pics in general:

Yeah the front looks so much better blacked out. I noticed the Silver didn't have the bottom of the rear blacked out either. Do them both and the car would look hot. I kind of wish they would have just used the stock fenders though. The silver car also had some big gaps at the seems so I wonder if thats a poor install job or what average Joe should expect. I know the white car is the show car so they spent a lot of time getting that all lined up nice.
