It looks like the FR500 wheel WON'T be available for the '05 so it's back to searching a few thousand more.

They were wrong.
I thought it sounded too good to be true... and it was.
It just so happens that I emailed wheelreplicas.com to double check this guy at MustangTuning.com since they sell the same wheels and they said the wheels wouldn't be offered.
As it turns out MustangTuning buys the wheels from them. Therefore the guy was wrong.

 

Funny, in the new cobra mule pic it looks like it has FR500 rims on it.

 

I sure hope so. That's one thing I'm waiting on is to see what the Cobra's wheels will look like.
The ones I was talking about above were only replicas. (a LOT cheaper)

They made the FR500s fit this legend lime V6. How did they do this?

 

Another pic that someone posted of a V6 at a local dealer:

 

They fit the bolt pattern, but they should stick out on the side. It's hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like they are out too far. If that doesn't bother you then you can put them on too.

The FR500 is the wheel I want, but I will wait for ones with the right offset.

Ya know... I think you're right.
I thought they were the upgrade wheels painted black just like the "blacked out" cobra that AmyV6 got a pic of, but now I think they may be the FR500's.
Guess we'll see in a few weeks.
Can't wait. My search might finally be over.

I think the pic is a bit of an optical illusion. The two spokes you mistook for the upgrade wheels are actually on different "spokes" of the actual wheel (ie. two prongs of an FR500 style on different FR500 spokes). Stare at it long enough and you'll see it.

 

I originally thought they were the upgrade wheels also until I looked at the REAL close.
The ones in the pic aren't "flat". The spokes stick out like the FR500 wheel.
