I wasn't talking just about Rose when I spoke about Bulls' injuries ... Deng and Hinrich are currently out, Noah and Hamilton have missed many games due to injuries ...
That's even to mention the Lakers were playing with expectations where as the Bulls are playing with none.
Credit the Bulls to playing well despite injuries, they've certainly had a fair share of adversity. But comparing their misfortunes to the Lakers? Nah....
Doesn't matter. The bulls and Lakers were in two completely different situations. It's not even close. The Lakers are a top heavy team who lost all of their back court and a key piece of their front court. Their front court that could play was not 100%. And that's not to mention the coaching change.

The Bulls had a decent bench, so guys like Butler, Robinson and Belinelli were able to replace Hinrich and Deng. These three bench players scored 58 out of Bulls' 93 points last night.
Lakers .... not so much. I said it even before the season began that Lakers are gonna be in trouble if any player from the starting lineup gets injured because they had no replacement (although Earl Clark has been a pleasant surprise).
All Lakers had to do was hire Phil Jackson instead of D'Antoni and I guarantee you they would had a home court advantage in the 1st round and would still be playing despite all injuries ... I still don't know why Lakers had so much confidence in D'Antoni ... Its not like he was very successful at Phoenix and New York.

Similar to how when Kobe went down nobody really picked the Lakers to make it out of the first round.
And to answer Zoran's question: Jim Buss doesn't like Phil. Pick any reason why you choose, but it is what it is

Our bench is great, they step up when someone goes down, I wish we still had Omar asik! And then we got rid of few other guys, sent em to the nets. So glad we didn't get humphries, don't need mr. Dramatic.
I watched a lot of the Memphis-OKC game yesterday. OKC is in trouble if their bigs can't contain Gasol and Randolph.
I enjoy watching Memphis play. Old school style team that's very calm and collected. You can see they're confident as ever right now

IMO any of 4 teams left in the west can make the finals. Watching them play this season I don't think any of them are better than the others. Each series can go to 7 games.

Now that they're both retired, I don't really have a favorite team. I'm still happy when the Kings win as well as the Milwaukee Bucks since they're my home team. But as long as there is good basketball, I don't care who's winning (as long as that team is not Lakers
).
My favorite team were Sacramento Kings back when Divac and Stojakovic used to play for them.

Jason Williams was traded for Mike Bibby and he had an ok career after that. If I remember correctly, he played for Memphis, Orlando and Miami after that, but never played a big role.
Doug Christie was traded for Cuttino Mobly, which was a really bad trade. Mobly could score, but couldn't play defense, which was Christie's speciality. Following the trade to Orlando, and later Dallas, Christie had many injures and was never the same player from the Kings days.
