Welcome to the Lake Show...
Miami spent $83 millions on salaries this year (they're tied for the 2nd place with Brooklyn).
Lakers spent close to $100 millions.
And Miami is actually a really good team - they're champs and have won the most games in 2012/13 season, so their salaries are justified.
Lakers? They didn't know until the last day of the regular season if they will even make the playoffs, then they got (most likely) swept by Spurs, including a really embarrassing 31 points home loss and they're still paying the highest salaries in the NBA by a wide margin.
That's a big difference between Miami and Lakers.
Lakers are old team, banged up, they've gone 20-8 since the all-star break, they'd of won two games of the games "if" they had their healthy line up. They were beating the real good teams early April, injuries caught up to them. Yea big difference, have youth youth youth! And basically having 2 Kobe's! "Wade and lebron" and Kobe is far better than those two guys.

Miami was never struggling since they signed Bosh and James.
In the first year they went to the finals (lost to Dallas), last season they were the champs and they will most likely be champs this year again.
So their high budget (which is still much smaller than Lakers') is justified.
Lakers got a bunch old old-timers, with no support from the bench ... Even if they didn't had a single injury all season I still don't think they would go far in the playoffs ... 2nd round most likely.

Yea I they went to finals, and probably get in this year, but they weren't established as they are now. Just made it by Boston. And the bulls.
Their much better this year,
With their entire team decimated with injury there was little reason to hope for the Lakers heading in to Game 3. Reality set in as the Spurs controlled the entire game, and the Lakers lost 89-120.
The Lakers D-League backcourt actually shot the ball pretty well (a combined 17 for 32). However they failed to establish any flow to the offense or create for others. It was painful watching the Laker offense struggle to score all night. The Spurs elected to playing 5-on-1 vs Dwight defensively and his teammates were helpless to assist.
On the defensive end the Lakers couldn't stop the rain. Their rotations were slow and frequently incorrect. It's pretty much impossible to overcome the unfamiliarity in the lineups to have the necessary defensive chemistry needed to win playoff basketball games. These guys have never played together and it's quite obvious. It looks very ugly.
Notables:
The Good:
- Back court did alright with all things considered
- No one else got hurt (I think)
The Bad:
- Too many to list
The Lakers will get one more shot tomorrow to avoid elimination. Maybe if they jump on the Spurs early they'll have a chance. At this point though, they've got nothing to lose...
