So what's the Surprise going to be?

The "minor" changes I was referring to are probably good for 75 - 100 hp/tq.

Would the changes you're talking about (reflash, pulley) affect reliability to the point where Ford may not go that route?

I don't have any idea, but, I wouldn't think so. The pulley would just bring on the boost sooner and harder. Factory boost is only 8.5psi. If you pullied that up to about 10 or 12 it would increase power and probably not much affect on reliability. The reflash shouldn't affect it either, but, I am not an engineer or mechanic.
I think the surprise was the Adrenalin. They said it was something no one was expecting. We weren't expecting a truck. They had been telling us all efforts were focused on the Mustang.

I think the surprise was announced before the Adrenalin. BUt, I don't know. I have absorbed so much info in the last few weeks, I can't remember little details about a truck. I'm so enamored with the Shelby, I don't care.
A Cougar would be sweet, as a certified Cougar nut, I've been hoping for one since the new body style was announced. I think Burningmans render hit it on the head....
Now if only they would build it...(and save Mercury in the process)

I would think Ford will likely avoid the GM mistakes and not have another muscle car under a different flagship. I hope your dream comes true but IMO it is not likely it will.
