Roush 427R Released!
If you need help finding a Roush Dealer near you, please let me know and i can get you a listing.
Linda, thanks for the info.
Wasn't sure if they would allow a 427R to be built with a 5 spd auto.
The 427R page doesn't mention an A/T option, just different shifters for the manual.
There is a Roush dealer in the area, they about 30 miles from here.

I am so out of whack!! I had been perusing the RP site and saw they had a "427R" and made the association that the new "427R" actually had a 427 engine
. You mean to tell me all they did was adjust the tune so it makes 427HP and call it a 427?
That's pretty cheesy. Now, Shelby has stepped up to the plate and produced a 500HP Cobra but Roush who has the name for engines can only slap on a supercharger and come up with 427?? Why don't they drop one of those famed engines they sell on their site into the car??? Roush by far, in my opinion, has the body kit nailed. I love the looks of mine. I'll admit I'm a newbie to mustang land and when I speak to peeps who are admiring the car I remind them all I have is a body kit but they always have respect for the Roush name. I'm beginning to wonder why though if the Shelby is producing 70 more HP then the Roush with the SC... it's pretty wimpy in comparison.

As with the Shelby GT500, with the SAE Certified 500 hp.
There are many upgrades and vehicles in the works. Many of the ideas floating around are not impossible. It is mostly determined by market and timing, unfortunately. New editions are coming down the pipeline in par with the Competition and it shall be seen the many innovations of Roush Performance.
Your idea of a Roush Racing Crate Engine setup in a Staged Roush is a good one and i will be happy to pass it on to our Regional Rep. If you would like, PM me your name and City; so i can know with Whom to assign the credit to the idea. They keep studies of demographics of which the needs arise as use this data to fulfill future design requirements.
ROUSH fans, for years, have been wondering why RPP has not come out with a modular line up that could be showcased in their Stage 2 or 3 vehicles.
Their crate engines are finding themselves in a lot of notable resto-mod makers, it would be nice to see a strong NA alternative in a Stage 2 pkg.
But hardly a unique one.

I would like to see the same as you suggest. A Roush Staged Vehicle with a Roush Engine. To me, that would be a more pure Roush.
There are so many Resto-Mods here in TX that i see at the shows with gleaming Roush Crate Engines in them. One in particular was a near original Shelby GT350 with a Roush Engine. The Shelby took award placement for best engine.
If your Roush was assigned a Roush Serial #, as located in the Passenger Door Jam, then She is a Roush as shown on the Roush Window Sticker that came with the car.

I do have a Stage 1 Roush with the serial # plaques so it doesn't have any go fast goodies.
I understand the intent of the 427R. However, there's already a Stage III with 415HP so now RPP tweaks the supercharger for 12HP and creates a "new" car...the 427R? Don't know how else to call it but that's pretty weak.
RPP already has the hard part done...they have the engines already built. Plug those puppies in and call it a day!!!

I have had an interesting conversation with the Ragional Manager as well as the Roush Racing about this back in August. Neither could disagree with it being a good idea and all they could disclose is they have more Performance Goodies on the way.
Here are some photos of the Roush 427 we just received today at Town & Country Ford.

That car looks sick!!!
But no offense, 49k is a little steep IMO.
$81k for each... that's worse that the GT-500... and I'd take that over a 427 any day!
Our 427 was sold on Saturday. I was amazed it lasted 5 whole days! It went for sticker.
