Next S/E ? C/S GT with 5.4 option?

I would like to see a factory Eleanor for the next SE Mustang, with a serious effort to keep the total cost down, say $3000 over the GT Mustang. Dreaming: The Eleanor option gets you the body kit, forged internals and large 18x9 Halibrand type wheels with spinners. With forged internals I can add the power adder of my choice when ever I want. I would take an Eleanor over a Mach or a Boss package, just seems more sinister.

Even though the old GT 350 was a better performing model than the heavier more luxurious gt 500.
Perhaps ford will call the middle range car and call it the gt 350. It would make more sense to people that dont know the shelbys history to place the gt 350 in the middle. Most people would assume the gt 500 would be a top model and the gt 350 a mid range.
I would love to see another mach, or a boss, or any midrange car. Since ford found it profitable to do so for the past few years (mach 1 and bullitt) then I think there would be a good chance we could see something like that again.
I would love to see a N/A 3 valve 5.4 car.
Its all just speculation at this point though.

5.4 4v heads are shelf pieces from The Navigator,Ford GT,Shelby or Australian "Boss" engine,,,3v is an F-150 piece.

As long as the new SE has between 350-400hp and cost in the $30-32k range, I'll be happy!
I would like to see another Mach1, but a Boss or GT350 would be fine too! I am guessing its going to be a Boss or GT350.
I like the 5.4, but a SC 4.6 would do me fine as well.
Lets hope we see or hear something about an SE by the end of the year!

Retro is fine ,but where do you draw the line?

F-body onwers never cry about how played out Z-28 or SS is, they carry a mark of distinction along with a certain amount of history which enhanced the current models or at least let you know when you bought a Z-28 you werent just getting a V8 camaro and when you purchased an SS Z-28 you weren't just getting a camaro with fancy wheels and a hole in the hood (then again the latter is debatable since most LS1 F-body owners think otherwise).

Ford should have never killed the Mach in the first place! I would rather ford not make GT's than not make another Mach. I think everyone would agree that a Mach is more muscular than a GT, almost every other car has a GT package. Heck, the Chevy Vega came as a GT!
Now GT350 or GT500 is another story, Shelby is always the Top of the Line Stang.

But it can't. Sell it, that is. GM, that is.

yeah, they pulled the plug on it already, cause of lackluster sales. SO they dropped the new RWD platform that was to be developed, the Zeta, partly because the GTO is not selling well. The GTO is not selling well because it looks stupid. Instead of changing that and giving an aggressive looking muscle car, they are pulling the plug, WTG GM

My Dad is newly retired from Ford after 32 years of service. He is friends with some VIP's from Ford, and they are digging up some facts for me about the next SE - Stay tuned!
I only want to report facts, but the #1 Rumor is Boss. Followed by Mach1 & GT350.

They are using the new 3v heads on the expeditions now too so should be readily available.

Not to mention that the 3v heads have variable cam timing, something I don't think the 4v heads come with right now.
Aside from that, why not put more development time into the 3v heads and improve them, I'm sure there is room for improvement.
