In the Welcome to the new forum thread, Brad said there was to be a "surprise, no one was expecting." I thought it might be fun to make a wish list of what that would be. I'll start with a few obvious, non-surprising features:

IRS
5.4 S/C to near 500hp
slightly wider rear tires

Things that haven't really been speculated:

Nice seats (Recaro, etc.)
Supercooler
optional rear gearing

Anybody else got wishes on their list?

A 428 Cobra Jet n/a to par with the Z06's 427.

I guarantee it would be a good seller.

I almost hate to say this, but one thing nobody is expecting is a Shelby Focus. Man I hope that is not it. Up here in the Kansas City area a few weeks ago I saw an old Dodge Shelby pickup truck. It was rusted badly and the vinyl Shelby stripes were peeling off. Man, I hope that is not repeated with a Focus.

I have ridden in a 68 GT500KR coupe - that was pretty cool. If there is going to be a Shelby, I hope it will be only Mustangs or Cobra sportscar varients.

I hope beyond hope, however, that the Cobra is based very heavily on the GT-R concept. It seems strange to me that the road racing cars are based on the "boy racer" body styles while the GT-R bodywork is held back for some reason. Perhaps this is the reason.

I have to go with the Supercooler. I've loved that concept since I first read about it. Go baby go!
