I didnt read through all of the responses so sorry if this has been said already. Has anyone noticed that they have removed the running pony in the front?! That is really my only gripe.

This car is I think the body lines of this car makes for the most aggressive Saleen yet. You see, you people say the car is "sedan like" and unagressive. Well now here you are. Man you people are picky.

For the record, I do like the new design Saleen has release but If I had my choice, it would be the MRT.

Who said that the car was sedan like and unaggressive? I don't think I've ever read that here ...

I like the rear bumber. It is a great improvement over the stock one. That is my beef with the new stang: the rear bumber and tail lenses. I liked the concept better. The rear bumber is too round and doesn't have enough edges to it like my 01 Gt. Likewise, I don't care for the bland hood and lack of side scoops on the new GT. The Saleen does look a bit futuristic in terms of the aesthetic refinements that they have made, which takes away from the intended "Retro" look.

Seeing the new pics, the rear looks enormous with the artificial 3" added to the back. Whats the point of all that? And the plastic tail panel looks to simply stick on the tail lights.

they fixed the tail...

imo the only thing i dont really like about the stang is the tail (gt is bad, but the non gt are worse)

the tail on the mustang in no way looks mean and aggressive just looks goofy i think this fixes that

Shelby's didn't have the running pony either. What's wrong with that?

I agree with Grantsdale, where on here did anyone post anything about the 05 being "sedan like" and "unagressive"?

I've said it once and I'll say again, this design does not take well to these add-ons. The design is clean and simple on purpose. These afermarket ideas work on some cars that fit a certain mold, which the "new edge" designed 00-04 cars were. They had edgy corners, cut lines and a mix of angles all over their designs. This new design is clean of all that stuff and looks better for it. I do not like any of these aftermarket cars.
I'm starting to think that you are right, that this design doesn't take well to tuner additions. I like the rear of the Saleen, as its bold and different, but overall, I just don't have that WOW, gotta have it feeling.

i really like this car. the rear looks perfect besides the lack of the 3rd portion of the lights. i always felt the rear of the mustang was boring and looked bloated. i think the saleen design is great and the rear bumper looks more streamlined and makes the rear look a bit smaller to me. i think the rear of the saleen also better accents a sports car, where as the rear of the gt is uninspiring and bland like a family sedan. the hood looks good, not over done. kinda like the grill too. its something different, but looks good. they could add the pony in say the lower corner of the grille, i think that might make it look a little better.

my only real complaints are the spoiler, which would look great if it were removed, and the lack of interior attention. ive never priced a saleen before but im assuming they run between 50 to $70,000 (guessing). for that much money, at least get rid of that god awful looking headunit. the rest of the interior is ok, just cant stand that radio.

overall, its my favorite so far, and would buy it if i had the money (though i never will). unlike many of you here on this board, i think the saleen is the classiest looking tuner car yet and does not look overdone or ricey.

The side shot of the Saleen from Brad... It looks like Saleen tried to make the butt look like the Vette by rounding it at the bottom. The spoiler looks like it was glued on for the heck of it...

Other then that it's nice.

The new Saleen will start at $38,000 for the base 325hp and $45,000 for the S/C 400hp model.

I still can't believe $13K ($38K) for a 25hp and a body kit. (And most people can sell the chip tuning for $500/max and get that).

I like some of the interior mods the most -- but the exterior looks like their S7 (with a bit of M3 in the front, and a taste of vette in the back), but loses the flair of a Stang. They're spending more times promoting their own brand than tuning a mustang. That's not necessarily a bad thing -- but not what I was looking for. And I realize the engine tuning really included a lot of suspension tuning. But it is like they spent all this time putting on expensive parts (with high markups) that many may not need or want.

I just noticed. I had originally thought the tail lights were two sections rather than three, but it looks like there is a cover on the inside portion of the stock tail lights.
