Pulley's

I know there has been alot of pulley discussion in the past about our cars? I was wandering if we ever cam to a final decission on what pulley's are good? What are bad? Which ones are worth it? Which arn't? What are the gains? Anybody have any insight?

There are a few pulley's out there for us, and I have been looking into them a lot recently because I am very interested in them. Here is a little break down of what I have found:

PHP Alt:
Pros:
-Easy to install
-cheap
Cons:
-Numerous counts of broken alternators
-not much power

ASP:
Pros:
-more power than an alt pulley
Cons:
-expencive
-harder to install than the alt pulley
-Belt does not fit and will cause problems
-not much more power over PHP alt pulley and is much more expencive
-never heard of a perfectally good experience with the product (AKA dont buy this one!!!)

Motoblue:
Pros:
-good power
Cons:
-expencive
-hard to install

Personally, I would not come close to the ASP pulley. I dont know if it is just me...but I dont like breaking my car lol. The PHP alt pulley is nice, there are a lot of people running them, but you cannot deny that it had the potnetial to break stuff. I personally went with the MotoBlue pulley, because I have heard some pretty good things about it. There are people on some other forums who have got really good numbers out of it, and I have never heard about it breaking, or it breaking something.

well, there is not too much you can say about pullies....even that post i made up there was probably pushing it.

I am guessing that the only issue with the ASP pulley is the fact that the reccomended belt size is a little off.

Anyways, I got the motoblue one and it is pretty sweet. What I expected from it. If you want to go with one, I would say go with that.

Some guy on the 40c had one for sale. You will get pretty good prices for them used. I will be selling mine w/ the belt for $150 in two months (or so).
