need help with weird smell

I just installed a flowmaster 40 series yesterday,..and it makes a strong burn smell when i rev or go on freeways..what is that smell?

Probably oils from manufacture burning off-will more than likely go away after a short period of time.

i hope so...i called flowmaster and they said it my be my cat converter..i was like "heck no" i'm taking it back to shop to check it out just in case. Thanks
