Mgw V6 Shifter Orders Are Now Being Taken For Delivery Next Week>>>

hey guys,

i know it has been a LOONNNGGG time comong for the v6 shifter but i have taken a lot of time to make sure that the shifter is right. i just was not initially happy with the shifting compared to our gt model so i have installed it in quite a few different cars and have come to the conclusion that the t5 tranny just is not as smooth as the 3650.

even though this shifter will have the EXACT same features as the gt version i am afraid that it really will not be able to be adjusted as short of throw due to the tranny notchinness in the t5. it CAN be done it just makes it quite hard to shift. but that is the good thing about the MGW unit is that is has an adjustable throw so you can get it where you want it.

i will start shipping out shifters next week. you can call in your order at our shop at 706-793-1770.

regards
george

Thanks George!...I will be installing mine this next week. I will write up the results here and the other major S197 forums. I am no stranger to the T-5 and short shifters, I have run Stock, Saleen, test driven the Hurst and now will run the MGW. I think from what I have seen from the GT forums that the MGW is the best built, highest quality and we'll see just how far i can take the T-5 (rockcrusher special)....

sounds good, is it worse than the stock notchiness on the optimal setting of throw (how short is that)

yeh well, the gt tranny is good to start out with, I dont even know what the snowball effect is of a short throw on ours which starts off crappy

Not worse but narrower, due to the strong spring the slots line up pretty well so you dont notice the notchiness. I have set mine at 6 turns. minimal is 0 turns (15% shorter than stock to 10 turns 50% shorter)...
