I have not flashed mine yet but am planning to. I put in a request with hypertech and still have not had any word. I looked at their web site and they said that it would be coming out late January for the GT.

I'm going to Dyno tune a V6 hopefully Monday, I run a SCT chip tuning business www.BamaChips.com and I do alot of 4.0 SOHC's V6's in the Explorer and Ranger markets. I've made 200rwhp from a n/a 4.0 in a 01' Ranger with just a air intake and cat-back exhaust.
Shoot me a email if you interested...
BamaChips@charter.net or check out my site at www.Bamachips.com
Thanks, Doug

Bought a SCT flasher tuner for my new V-6 2005 from Billet Speed in Delaware. Just got the tune installed and I am very pleased. This 4.0 rocks. I can't wait to get an exhaust on it. I have 2 other tunes even more agressive than this to try. They tune primary lightnings and cobras, but have a V-6 test mule that has a 5 speed manual. They have also tuned my 2003 Cobra with awesome results. Just FYI.

With my tuning on automatic Ranger and Explorer SOHC's I've been seeing 170-175rwhp stock and around 195-200 rwtq. With my mail order tuning I've seen 195 rwhp and 218 rwtq and on a dyno I've brought it up to 200rwhp and 223 rwtq. I've test drove an automatic V6 locally at a dealer, there aren't any manauls locally, and they feel like they are right in line with the stock SOHC output figures.
I'll be tuning an automatic because that is all Hertz's rents. They do have the 05's here in Birmingham in their fleet they were just all rented out yesterday.
Thanks, Doug.

Any dyno on the V6 yet I know you said that hertz was out but it has been a couple of days now and wnated to know the results. been looking at other forums and some one dynoed a GT and were only getting 275 to 285 rwhp and 307 torque. looks like they over rated the GT from that. Also on your email can you do a tune to 89 octane since that is what I mainly use. have never used 87 or lower in a vehicle that I have owned.
