Flash2Pass garage opener
Several weeks ago someone posted info on the Flash2Pass garage door opener.
I checked out the website and ordered one. I installed it in the Mustang a few minutes ago and it is really neat. When you double-click the high beams the garage door opens/closes.
A special receiver replaces the wall mounted door opener and a transmitter mounts under the hood of your car. Two wires from the transmitter attach to the high beam side of the headlight harness. The first time you click the flash to pass feature the transmitter powers up, the second click of the flash to pass triggers the door to open/close.
Very handy and only $100.00.

John, this does not sound very secure. How does it prevent un authorized access to the garage?

Here we go again, It works on radio frequency just like a regular garage remote, not on light waves. read the link posted above. It is a very secure system.
Altoid - no problems so far. Have one on an 05 Mustang GT and one on an 05 Escape.
Groupset - I installed mine on the passenger side light harness. There are three wires leading to the female connector that plugs into the light bulb holder. Green, Black, and White. I used the black and the white wires to wire in the transmitter.
Badsnke98 - Yep, I coulda done that, but I don't like having a remote clipped to my visor, or searching for the remote after it falls off the visor. Now my opener is always at my fingertips.
One word of warning for any others who may go with a flash2pass. As you already know, the turn signal lever is also used to flash brights, and to turn on/off brights. When you pull the lever toward the steering wheel, the first detent is flash brights and the second detent is turn on/off brights. If you install a flash2pass opener, make sure you only pull the lever to the flash bright detent. If you pull al the way to the turn on/off brights detent, it will not work.
