CAI or exhaust?

Wondering if I can get your opinion on something. I am currently looking at getting either a cold air intake (BBK or Steeda) or an axle back exhaust (SLP Pro Flo) my 07. Wondering if anyone can recommend which one should I do first. I currently have an sct tuner so I am kind of leaning toward the CAI but wouldn't mind the sound from an axle back. I am going to end up getting both eventually but only have a budget for one right now.

Any suggestions?

You could get the best of both worlds and get the Steeda Axle Back and the Steeda CAI and keep it consistent. I can talk to Gus about putting together a packace deal so if you buy one of them now, we would still honor the price on the 2nd one when you are ready to pull the trigger?

I would go with the CAI at first since it is an easy install and you can plug and play right away. Then when you add the Exhaust, it would be that much more fun!!!

PM if you have any questions or comments.

Thanks

TJ

For the money you'll see the biggest gain with CAI and tune, even with single exhaust. It'll git-up-n-go much better, you can always have duals later. Of course I did the opposite and went duals first thing, but I had no idea how much a tune and CAI would make that pony ROMP!!lol!

CAI for sure, but that loud set of pipes behind you makes it 100000000x more fun to drive. I'd get a JLT cold air if I were you! They dyno the best numbers!

Will I notice any difference in the way it shifts with a 5spd?

I agree, CAI and tune. After my supercharger/tune was done I did the exhaust, no real improvement in added HP, pretty good flowing stock exhaust. But, it sure sounds sweet when exhaust is done.

Yes, you will notice a lot harder shifts. I just got my CAI and 93 octane tune. It shifts HARD and you can feel the back tired slip when it shifts. You can also here that CAI sucking air when you get on the throttle. It's so badass... I'll have to put up a video here soon.

Nice. I have to wait a week becasue the JLT is on backorder. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of next week.
