Advantage of shorty Headers

Are there any advantages to installing shorty headers on a V6?
I was talking with BAMA and they said that installing shorty headers
does not require a tune change.

I would then expect that there is no HP gain with the shorty headers?

Thanks

Brian

going with a dual exhaust doesnt require a tune change either, nor does a throttle body, a underdrive pulley, a upgrade ignition. doesnt mean it wont help.

the $100 ebay shorties are a nice improvement for the price. the tubes are larger than the holes in the cast, each cylinder has its own tube, the collectors are alot bigger than the cast iron and they weight about 20lbs less too. then theres the look factor, that alone is worth the $100

You would get more power from a colder day than shorties.

Me too, the JBA's with JetHot Sterling coating look sweet and I love the sound with duals and an H pipe!

I just bought a set of shorties for my V6 from American Muscle. I get them installed on Monday!
