I was also looking for pics of the black powder coat. Came up with nothing as well. The Black Chrome doesn't look too bad. I hope its in the flat to satin range.

That's what I was hoping for. I don't mind the grille pattern too much. I think it would look really nice with somewhat of a flat finish or at least something that's completely black. That would give more of a low key edge to it with just enough difference to tell it isn't stock.

Hope Mike sends us some nice shots soon. Getting antsy (not that I have the cash in hand to throw at it right now, but I'll get it darn fast if it's what I'm hoping for!)

Man- you guys are good! We havent released the black powdercoat yet- Its new and special just for the Mustang. I was at the powder coat guys place yesterday trying to finalize the correct shade of black. Ill try to post some pictures of it. Also, we have been working on the black chrome to make it look even better than the original product that we released. I think we have improved on it and I think you will be happy with it. Ill try to post some of those pictures. The problem is always that the pictures dont show the real look. Its really hard to show it in a photo but Ill try...

Just a taste is all we ever need. Our minds are pretty creative and can fill in the blanks pretty well. Really stoked to see the picks. Thanks for putting up with us, and for all of the hard work. I'm sure it'll pay off big.

Ahhhhhh my V6 is drooling for the black chrome with those center fogs. I can't wait. Just found the grill I've been holding out for.

I think a wrinkle finish like this would look best for the powder coat:

Thoughts?

That is the 66 mustang's Shelby Grille. Only the 67 had the center mount lamps:

I would suggest combining the 2 concepts together. I'd have the center mounts from the 67 and the emblem from the 66. That's what I'd like to have.... might just be me...

Thanks for the pictures Stanger- Ill research it some more- for the rest of you- you asked about black powder coat vs. black chrome. We tried to take some pictures but as suspected, you have a hard time seeing the difference in a photo. Basically, black powder coat just looks like black paint. We can do it in a satin finish, gloss black, semi gloss etc. Black chrome looks like black over chrome ( duh) its got a very shinny chrome look to it but its black. Anyway- its hard to describe but here are the photos. Black chrome is really cool, but in some cases, black powder coat looks better- I went with powder coat on my Orange Mustang cause black chrome looked a little to bling bling to me. I was trying to get a road race look- not a street look on the car. Like anything in the custom aftermarket, everyone has different tastes. Otherwise, we would all be buying the same brand and that would be boring. ( unless its street scene LOL) Here you go:

Very VERY cool shots Mike. Big thanks for them. It is a bit tough to see, but I must say that the difference is noticeable. I agree with you as well. I think that a satin finish would give a much better feel than the black chrome.

I want that same race feel that Ford bred into the OE grille, and from what I can see, you captured that. It looks really nice! My car is white, and I have to say that the reason I enjoy the white so much is that the other elements on the car - like the grille and the head lamp surrounds - stand out so much more. They POP off of the car. Chrome would just look too gaudy to me. Gotta love what you guys did. It's fantastic!

I'm inspired now! I think that grille pattern would look GREAT with those fog lights. Last piece to put into the puzzle is the horse. Some folks may opt to ditch theirs, but I really think it's a must. Being the owner of a vintage stang as well, I feel that the running horse makes the car.

I can't wait to see how all of these elements tie in together to make the finished product! I am definately digging what you've done, and I'm starting a fog light savings jar right now!

Keep the pics and info coming. Big hats off, I think you've got yourself a winner! Thanks for giving us so many choices, and thanks for keeping us in the R&D Loop!

Who can we look to when the time comes to purchase? I know that each re-seller will have their choice, but I'm sure there are some major companies that will likely sell these products - especially since they will be so hot (my prediction).

I always hate to recommend one street scene distributor over another, but if you go to www.musclecardirect.com , I think you will find some more pictues of the unit with pricing? I should have a production update soon..
