Would you buy a PowerDyne SC???

All,

I can get a great price on a powerdyne supercharger (less than $2800), but I've never heard of the brand. It claims 399 RWHP and 360 ft/lb on a stock GT.

Anybody know about these? I want a supercharger, but $5,000 for a Saleen or KB is just not in the budget right now.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Thanks,
Mark

I wouldn't buy one. You get what you pay for. I have heard about problems with boost limitation and other issues.

Powerdyne has a decent reputation for the older Mustangs. In fact, I think the Ford Racing blower for the previous generation of Mustangs was made by Powerdyne. I have not heard one thing though about their unit for the new Mustangs.

Powerdyne was just bought out by another company I think? My buddy had a Powerdyne sent it back many times finally refunded his money and stated they could not get one to work for his car. I would not use one of those if they gave it to me. One of them they sent to him actually would not turn the impeller was in crooked. Try something else a Vortec or Paxton is reasonable.

+1... Try and save money by cutting corners on something as big as a s/c and your going to end up spending more with more headaches. Buy once, buy smart!
