Since this setup is becomming so popular already, I'm starting a thread for problems and hopefully solutions.

I've got a problem hopefully someone can help with. Either my ram air tray isn't centered properly, or my motor's not centered in the car, or I'm a moron.

I decided to put the MAF housing in upside down. I'm assuming this is OK, just as long as it's also put it on backwards to ensure the MAF flows air through the sensor in the proper direction. I did this because I don't like advertising for companies (WMS logo on top), and I thought that'd be a great place to put a 4.6 or Pony emblem. The problem is that there's an inch gap on one side. See pic. It doesn't make sence to me, the side pieces are the same legnth, and the MAF housing is coming straight off the TB. Any ideas?

CRAP. Even with my digital camera on it's lowest setting the pic is too big to post. Anyone know how to reduce it?

Does it fit correctly when installed as advertised? I'd try that first and then work backwards toward the anti-ad goal . . . after I established the base line . . . no harm, no foul . . . just my .02

That's my next step, but it doesn't seem like it should make a difference.

I have mine but can't carve out the time to install it until the weekend of the 24th . . . so other than off the wall suggestions . . . I can't run out and flip mine around to see if it makes a difference.

No problem. My logic is, a pencil is still going to fit in the same space, no matter if the number 2 is facing up or down. Oh well, that's something to try tomorrow. At least it's hose clamps holding it in place instead of being welded.

I'm with ya on the "pencil logic".

You'll get it figured out . . . and when you do . . . WMS will be without free advertising .

Please note: When you get headers you need to buy Motor mounts. Why ? Becuase the stock motor mount are so soft they allow the engine to become off-center. This allows the engine to shift and lets the headers reset on the steering column. This is why header manufactures, such as JBA, recommend new Steeda Motor Mounts.

I installed the WMS Ram Air System last week with the Logo facing up and it is the same spacing on the side of the air Box.about an inch gap between the the mass air and and the edge of the box.I was am puzzled also why it is that way.Only thing I could think of is their allowing for some slop so that the MAF sensor doesn't come in contact with the edge of the box.Everything else lines up OK with the box.Really like the looks of it and has added improvements in power and torque although I have not dyno'd the car I can feel the difference.

John, I get "page not found" when I click on the links to your pics.

I found this in another thread from Chris(donkey):

"If you are running XP, go to this page: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Install the image resizer program on the right hand side. Now you can just right click a pic and resize it to 800x600 or 1024x768, etc and it should be small enough to post..."

I installed this and it works like a charm. I believe they also have it for other versions of Windows.

Originally I had problems with my billit connector going in the TB, wouldn't line up straight and when I secured the TB to the intake it caused it to fit at an angle. I realized that I had the billit connector backwards.

I posted on the "WMS wire splicing" thread that I haven't been successful in getting an extension MAF wire for us. I've been working on a couple of auto electronics vendors, but it's been slow.

If something breaks free I will let everyone know...

Well, I pulled the unit and flipped it the proper direction. Same problem, but it seems as if maybe the space if there for the MAF sensor plug.
So does everone else have the same amount of space on each side - between the ram air tray 'rear walls' and the MAF housing?
