I'll definitely be doing gears when it arrives, but am still up in the air about a reflash/tune. Seems like the dealers have told people than can reflash to recalibrate for different gear ratios, but not for 4.10's or deeper yet. Any word on whether this has changed?

See the end of the "Gears" post if you haven't already, but otherwise your answer is most likely no as far as I have been told by Ford Service.

my dealer most deffinitely told me that he could hook up his laptop and reflash the comp for 4.10s. it would cost an hour labor tho (79$). the odd thing was he said that the parameters for the new computer will NOT allow a relfash that changes speedo more than 15%, ie 4.10s can be corrected for but 4.30s cant quite be corrected for.

he did highly highly encourage doing gears tho.

but if you plan on doing any other mods, why not just get the predator (put ur 79$ toward its 400$ price tag), because if more mods are on the way ull need the reflash tool anyways...

I just now ordered 4:10's from JMS. I'll also be sending my SCT box back for a quick update.

At least on the older cars, (pre-05) I believe there was an option in the WDS, which is the computer the dealer uses to diagnose, reprogram, etc, that allows the gears to be changed. Same thing with tire sizes. I have never done it though, but I swear I remember seeing an option.
