Can anyone help me out? I have 2007 GT/CS on order and I have a bunch of mods planned. I want to run Mickey Thompson Street ET slicks. They don't make them for 18" wheels. I was planning on buying a pair of polished aluminum 17 x 9 (94-04)Bullit rims and running 26x11.5-17 slicks. Does anyone know if I will run into any issues or if I will have to get a different offset?

They will stick out a little bit, but since they are just for the track, who cares.

But seriously- I am having the dealer take back the replica FR500 18 inch wheels that I have been having problems with, and they are giving me back a set of the cast aluminum 17 inch silver wheels.

Does anybody know how wide the standard 17 inch cast wheel is? Is it 8 inches? I'd like to get some better tires ordered- hoping that 255/55/17 rubber will fit and be safe, too.

Thanks.

a gentleman with 17x9 wheels, 36mm offset, and 325/45/17 tires. Plenty of clearance.

Actually a good deal, the car looks clean otherwise (straight 6). Nothin like ruining the value of a classic by doing that to it
eek.. portholes are for buicks, and anyways isn't it supposed to be for a V setup where you have the cylenders on each side? This abused stang is looking for a home, any takers?

I was the winning bidder at $24,265. It is a one of a kind car, and worth every penny to me.

Something like the modern day James Bond might drive. Right?

I just orderd a pair of these 325/45/17s They run narrower than most other brands so keep that in mind. there is no rule as to how big or small a specific size has to be. always look at the tire specs not just the advertized size. I now need wheels for these. I dont see any specific drag race wheels in 17" so prolly have to go with a street wheel.

Hi guys.
Been searching alot for answers and this thread seems like the right place to ask. I have a set of Boze Stixx 18X9 wheels on which I run 255/45/18 now. Can I safely put 285/40/18 in the rear on those wheels? Thanks for any input.
John.

The GT500 has 18x9.5 all around and uses 285/40/18 in the rear. You should be good.
