Is it me or is ordering parts through Steeda a pain in the butt?

First off, they don't give you a grand total (sale price, tax (if applicable), and shipping costs) when you 'checkout' of their online store, even after giving your CC info.

Second, Steeda says it takes up to 2 days for their warehouse to send shipping info back to the online store before a total can be given to you.

Well, 2 days have passed, e-mail sent, no reply.

It for sure sounds like Steeda's online store doesn't have it together. Why can't in run smooth like other companies.. order what you want, pay GRAND TOTAL (after you click on 'checkout'), shipped out next day with tracking. Sounds simple to me.

So why do I put up with this PIA process? I need the Ultralite springs that are on sale.

Sorry you're having a bad experience. I had a good experience when I ordered from Steeda, however, I phoned in my order. I went through the steps to place my order on-line but on the last step when I read it can take a couple days for my order to process, I changed my mind and called them instead.

I've always had a good experience with Steeda. You should give them a call and ask about your order.

I bought lots of parts from them for my old 5.0 but always phoned in the order. After using the summit online store the Steeda's felt "stone age" in comparison.

Just received an e-mail from Steeda.

"We are upgrading our software at this time. We can still process and ship your orders and you will receive a hand generated receipt during this upgrade process. You will receive a type-written copy following a few days after the order is processed. On your internet order XXXXX shipping and handling came out to XX.XX for a total of XXX.XX. Transit time will be about 4 to 5 working days. Thank you for your patience and your business."

So I'm guessing it's all good now.

What's wrong with picking up the phone anyways?

Steeda is going through alot of new stuff right now, including a new warehouse near Pompano that will easily serve the whole east coast quickly.

They have good service too, it's car parts, not a computer company.

Nothings wrong with picking up the phone. In fact that's what I originally did. I first called them asking if I can have my item shipped to a different address and then asked if I can just place an order now over the phone.
Guess what... he (forgot his name) said, "no, just place your order thru the website and write a comment as to why you need it shipped to another address.".

I just gave the online store too much credit.

I have had very good experience with Steeda. I ordered over the phone just my UD balancer... they shipped it without a bolt and then I emailed them and I had it in two days.
Other orders were web and they were fine.

I called and ordered my wheels from them a couple of days ago. It took about 30 seconds, very easy. I always call whenever ordering something because I don't like doing the thing. That's just me
