I have the Vortech Non I/c kit and it put down 418Rwhp on a Dynapac dyno @ 7psi max boost. I am very happy with the kit and love the fact than while cruising on the hwy I am under no boost at all so there is no additional wear on the motor, since I travel the freeway's alot..If you decide to get one let me know As I can help you out on a pricing discount

all of Vortech kits are smog legal. Now, the 05 model is still pending C.A.R.B approval which they should have in the next couple of months.I too am in So cal (Simi Valley) and it is just a sticker that attaches to the blower.
weedo~ I am not for certain. but I think vortech de-tuned the non I/c just a little to help engine temps and reliability of the motor which is why I get readings between 6-8psi.I think the I/C Vortech kits are making about 9psi and the Paxton ones should be right in that range as well.My Vortech contact mentioned this to me "In a matter of speaking"

Mine is actually on the way from New Hampshire. Paxton, 4.10's, and Bassani. I can't wait to play with this thing! 418 sounds pretty stout! I have the dyno sheet in hand for mine showing 436hp. Seems pretty high to me, but I've also read the kit is really pushing in the 10.5 area and not 8.5 to 9.5 like it's stated.
I wonder why yours is at 7psi?

4.10's will work just fine with a centrifugal blower. 3.73's are a better choice for a roots, or lysholm type (twin screw) blower.
The difference is that a centrifugal builds boost with rpm, and has a linear application of power, whereas, a twin screw will make max boost typically right off idle, and a higher (numerically lower) gear is sufficient.
