Whipple guys..did your intake sticker fall off?

Mine came off due to the underhood temps, so I called Whipple and they sent me a replacement. How can I reapply it to prevent it falling off again? Is there any cement or adhesive for high temps?

Go to a Body Shop Supply store and see if they have 3M packets of adhesive Promoter. And clean the surface completely with denatured alcohol

mine fell off. Well, almost, so I just took it off the rest of the way so it didn't melt onto anything else.

yah, I know it's just a sticker but I do think it looks nice. Tillman, are you serious about the superglue?

Mine is trying to, but I had an extra in the box. I'm going to use adhesion promoter on the spare when the original finally does come off.

I would think superglue would melt at such hot engine temps, but I guess not.

No it actually turns into acrylic when the acid burns off. Hobby stores sell dozens of types of superglue, including a high-impact rubberized version(its black superglue). Works with nitro powered cars/planes so it should be fine under the hood. Just don't CA next to the edges of the piece so it doesn't fog the finish on the supercharger.

The right kind of superglue would be fine. 90% of companies out there use superglue for their components and tags to stay on products. And then they act like its a big deal to have them molded. If it works for them, I figure it will work for a decal.

dam sticker

Hi guys, mine came off too and I want to leave it off. What should I use to clean up the remaining adhisive so it's all just clean? I have the polished SC so I don't want to mess up the finish.

Thanks!

Doesn't it make less power without the sticker?

I bought a quality sheet of clear laminate and cut it slightly larger than the sticker and it's been on with no problems. I have mine on the inside wall of my airbox so maybe it's a little cooler over there. I would try covering any that are coming off this way and see what happens.

Not less power, but your cars power to weight ratio is better with it off!
