whipple being installed this week on my 08
I bought a Whipple HO from Steeda with the adaptive calibration for my 08. {http://www.steeda.com/products/whipple_supercharger_s197.php} .I have 410 gears in now would it be better to go with 373 .
give the 410 a try and decide from there. most people would say 373 are the way to go with a supercharger but to each his own. i still have the stock 331 with my whipple and am thinking of 373 but the power is awesome and 5th gear on the parkway gives me good gas milage
I've got their Magnacharger and 373 gears and I have to let off in both 1st and 2nd gears or it'll fishtail like crazy. I've got the lower control arms and relocation brackets and I still can't get all the power to the ground on the low end. But obviously there's no point in changing your 410's till you see what your car runs like with them as 07GTTOM said ...
personally I would go with the whipple tune rather than the adaptive calibration that steeda offers. no offense, but since no one has really tested it or really experienced it, your playing with fire.
Don't have a Whipple, but I have a Saleen (numbers in my signature) with 4.10s. Running 275/40/18 Nitto 555s, traction is tricky in 1st and 2nd but it is manageable. I'd try it first and see what you think, assuming you have decent tires. With my setup and factory 17" 235/55 pirelli tires, it is like driving on ICE.

How do you like that blower? A lot of Vette owners swear by that company.

I think I'm not the only one that will be interested in the Steeda adaptive thing. Post results as soon as you can.
I've read too many posts about traction, so tires were installed before the blower for me. My install starts Thursday.
I like it , it's got great low end torque and the curve was more like a flat line. We got 430 RWHP with the 3.10" pulley which puts out 8 - 8.5 psi boost , so there's a lot more if you use a smaller pulley. When I had Steeda install it , it was the one they were using in their cars. However since then they've switched to the Whipple , I guess it'll make more overall power ...
